Hôtel Carlina by les Etincelles

Small room sizes and dated decor & furniture. Bad ventilation and always damp smell in the rooms. Hotel needs total facelift. Half board waste of money as the evening meals were really poor. Waste of money. Book with caution.

We enjoyed our stay in the hotel for our skiing holiday. The accommodation was very good and the staff very friendly. There was the additional benefit of the spa to ease tired muscles after skiing. The bar was very comfortable and the service was really good.

The Carlina Hotel in Belle Plagne is an amazing hotel with amazing service by amazing staff. The hotel manager Vito, the assistant manager Dorothy, the general manager Aurelian and all the staff treated us like kings and queens. The staff are absolutely lovely and were very welcoming. Most of the staff spoke very good English as well as French. They were very generous with their help. The Hotel is just by the slopes that takes skiers down to Belle Cote. The hotel being by the side of the slope takes "Ski-in Ski-out" to the next level. Straight onto the piste from the ski room, and ski back to the entrance of the ski room. You can also ski to the entrance of the restaurant. Even if you are not staying in the hotel, it is a great place to ski into and stop for Lunch or Après Ski drinks. Sitting on the terrace you get a fantastic view of the mountains and the backdrop of the valleys. The rooms are very comfortable and homely with amazing balcony views, looking out to the mountains. Spa was welcoming, the heated swimming pool and the hot tub are just added bonus after a day on the slopes. The food in the restaurant was absolutely incredible with the menu changing regularly. Varied breakfast. For the seafood lovers, the seafood is to die for. Seafood and champagne, I couldn't ask for more! The head chef pops out occasionally to check that the guests are enjoying the meal so that gave me the opportunity to say "compliments to the chef"! The bar is relaxing with a cosy fire place and comfy seats. The bar staff are very attentive. Anna will make you the best cocktail you will ever have. The hotel is impressive. Very good ambience. I will definitely be going back there again soon. I would definitely recommend the hotel as a whole, the restaurant and the bar. Thanks to all the staff at the Carlina for making my vacation a wonderful vacation.

Managers were the first to stop what they were doing and help us. Great culture. Good staffing levels. Breakfast staff were next level.

De retour d une magnifique semaine en janvier dans cet établissement. Quel plaisir de se faire accueillir par tant de chaleur et de gentillesse par le réceptionniste ( cela devient rare) une equipe jeune au service mais terriblement efficace et souriante. Une chambre avec vue sur piste et surtout toujours propre. Un espace SPA très agréable..Un ski room directement sur les pistes, on en oublie la galère de porter l'équipement ! Très bonne cuisine, n hésitez pas à tester l 'Ercheu le restaurant Savoyard de l hotel. Super cocktail au bar face à une belle flambée ! Seul point négatif, clientèle à 95% d 'anglais , ce qui ne nous a pas permis de lier connaissance. Nous avons été conquis ! On reviendra

Merveilleuse expérience que cet hôtel ! Idéalement placé avec accès direct aux pistes, des équipes nombreuses et qualifiées qui vous accueillent avec beaucoup de générosité. Que ce soit l'accueil, le service de chambre, l'espace bien-être et son salon de massage sur place, le bar, les deux restaurants, (carte exceptionnelle, nous recommandons la formule demi-pension), tout est vraiment fait pour qu'on passe un bon séjour. Même le local de ski est incroyable (système de séchage et de chauffe des chaussures de ski). Les chambres sont spacieuses et fonctionnelles avec de vrais balcons. Beaucoup de voyageurs étrangers, ça ne trompe pas et c'est très dépaysant ! Notre meilleure expérience hôtelière à ce jour (ça vaut la peine de force un peu son budget car le rapport qualité-prix est à la hauteur). Merci à toutes les équipes et une mention spéciale au chef pour sa cuisine raffinée et espiègle (il se plait à cacher des surprises gustatives dans ses plats) et à la dynamique équipe du petit-déjeuner.
